Make Extra Money with Quick Rewards!

I have told you about a few different ways to make a little bit of money at home. I just signed up for this new one and figured I'd tell you about it!

Quick Rewards is a site similar to swagbucks and inbox dollars, only there's NO minimum payout, and they process Paypal payments daily, so if you worked on it every day, you could literally receive money on a daily basis. How cool is that?!

I just started, so I don't have a great deal of progress to share with you just yet, but once I start earning, I'll post about it again and show you just how it's going, but I wanted to share it with you guys so you could be right there with me making that money!

Teach your children happiness with tips from Hugo!

I don't know if I have ever shared this with you about my daughter, but she absolutely loves reading and adores books. Library days are among her favorite because she knows we are coming home with new books. This is obviously wonderful for me, because I love reading as well, and I know that us reading together is a wonderful bonding time for us, in addition to the wonderful literary education this simple daily act provides. It is my firm belief that children and parents should definitely take time to read together each day.

More than just reading to my daughter, I love books that hold a greatly valuable lesson, such as the one that I found with Hugo The Happy Starfish:  The Key to Happiness.  This book was fun for her, but it was also a lesson that we were able to talk about, and it provided a lesson that I'm able to remind her of, in terms that she understands, whenever it comes up.  Educational books are fairly easy to find, but books that provide a good general character education are sometimes a little harder to find.

You see, in this particular book (I believe that there are others, as well that teach other lessons from Hugo.), Hugo decides that he isn't happy, and he'd like to find Happiness.  He gets help from a mentor, who suggests different things that will make him happy for different periods of time.  Hugo eventually decides that he would like to be happy forever, and his mentor helps him to find that through sharing and loving.  I know I gave away a bit of the story, but it is one that you and your children are bound to enjoy reading and talking about together.

This is an adorable story, with cute pictures and a wonderful meaning and lesson.  I would recommend this book to parents and children to read together, more than once!

Get it for your Kindle for only $5.99 (or FREE with Amazon Prime!)

Socially Yours Wants to Help with your Summer Parties!

It's a wonderful time of year. Spring is coming, and we're getting ready for the hot of summer. The beaches, our skin tanning from the sun, and most important of all, we're all getting ready to spend a little bit more quality time with our families in the summer heat.

There are also a LOT of parties. There's Memorial Day, and the Fourth of July, obviously. There are also a lot of weddings that take place in the summer (I personally had my own in August, at a light house by the ocean!), baby showers, barbecues, birthday parties and so much more. I mean, I like having barbecues and get togethers with friends and family just because it's summer and nice outside! Let's face it.. 'Tis the season!

Whatever your occasion, Socially Yours is able to help with affordable, and absolutely beautiful invitations.  They offer most occasions that you can think of.  Whether you're going for cute, beautiful, elegant or simple, they are sure to have what you're looking for!

I have chosen a few that I'm particularly fond of that I'd love to share with you!  (If any of you want to invite me to a party, I'd love to see one of these show up in my mailbox!)

This is such a lovely wedding invitation (that could also be used for an Anniversary or engagement party I'm sure. I like it because it's simply beautiful, and it's one of those pictures that just speaks of love without any actual words.

I like this one because it's so adorable, and pink. Had I seen something like this a few years ago, it would have been exactly what I would have used for my daughter's first birthday party.

My husband's been in law enforcement for the entirety of our marriage, and both of us got a kick out of how adorable this was.

This one is so versatile, and that's part of the reason I like it (other than the obvious fact that it is cute beyond words!) This would be great for either a summer baby shower, baby announcement, or a party for Memorial Day or the Fourth of July! So many uses for this one!

In addition to the fact that, once again, this one is fairly versatile (bridal shower, wedding, engagement party, etc), it's simple elegance really called to me once again. That is why I chose this one as another favorite of mine.

The reason that I enjoyed this particular one, is for a few reasons. First of all, most baby shower invitations are all about the baby, which is definitely understandable. I think, however, that mom does absolutely deserve to have one last thing just be about her, and this portrays that a little bit. The other reason that I enjoyed this one, is for the simple fact that a lot of people, myself included, find the body of a pregnant woman, to be something that holds a lot of beauty.

Those are just a small few of my own personal favorites. Socially Yours has a great selection of invitations that are bound to make your get togethers a little extra special.

If you're having a party, and would like to order from Socially Yours, I would love to share that you can save 15% on your order using the code "Summer VIP" at checkout!
